BMTC Student Bus Pass Fee & Validity 2024-25 :

Please Note :

• The BMTC Student Bus Pass fee is to be paid when collecting the SMART CARD at your nearby BANGALORE ONE CENTERS. You do not need to pay a fee online while applying for the student bus pass.
• Under the Shakthi Scheme of the Government of Karnataka, free travel facility is provided to girls and transgender students of Karnataka state from the academic year 2024-25. Therefore, you (girls and trangender students) do not need to apply for the Bus Pass. Remember to carry your original Aadhaar card while traveling on a government bus.

How to apply for the BMTC Student Bus Pass 2024-25:

STEP 1 : To apply for BMTC Student Bus Pass , Visit the official website of BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation) for the student bus pass by clicking on the link provided below.

As per BMTC instructions, for the academic year 2024-25, students should apply for the BMTC Student Pass through the Seva Sindhu Portal only.

STEP 2 : Under “Apply for a new student pass,” select an option based on your course. If you are an engineering student, choose the 4th option as shown in the image below.

STEP 3 : Once you select the appropriate option based on your course, an online application form will open. Fill out all basic details, including:

• Admission Number (USN or Reg.no or Fee Receipt Number as applicable)
• Your personal details such as name, gender, parents name, category, etc.
• Institute or college type (B.E. students, select the TECHNICAL OPTION)
• College Name (search by entering the first few words of your college name)
• And other basic details as requested in the online application form.

• FROM STOP – Enter the bus stop, area, or colony name that is near your home or hostel.
• TO STOP – Enter your College Name or bus stop near to the college.
• VIA 1 & VIA 2(Optional) – These are in-between bus stops between FROM and TO STOP.

STEP 5 : Upload your photo and college fee receipt photo with a file size less than 1 MB.

Enter the received OTP on your mobile number and click submit.

An acknowledgment will be shown on your screen. Take a printout or download the PDF for future reference.

BMTC Student Bus Pass Approval Process :

Once you submit the online application for the BMTC student bus pass, it undergoes a verification process by both your college and BMTC before you can collect the bus pass SMART CARD. Here is the complete process:

1.COLLEGE APPROVAL : A request will be automatically sent to the college for approval after you submit the application. The college will approve or reject the application after verifying the details you submitted in the online application. This process usually takes around 1-7 days.

Please note that in some colleges, the application will be approved by college itself, while in other colleges, you may need to inform the person in charge to approve the application by showing the college fee receipt and ID card.

2.BMTC APPROVAL : Once the college approves your application, it will be forwarded to BMTC for further verification. After checking details such as FROM STOP, TO STOP, and VIA 1 and VIA 2, BMTC will approve or reject the application. This process typically takes around 1-7 days.

How To Check BMTC Student Bus Pass Application Status :

Once the approval process is completed, you will receive a message on the phone number provided in the online application. However, you can also check the application status by following the procedure below:

• Visit the same link provided above on this page.
• At the bottom of the page, find the option “Know your application status,” then enter your application number and click on search.

Once you click on the search button, you might see three levels of status. Now, let’s understand what each level indicates

• Approval Pending : Your application has been successfully submitted. however, it has not yet been verified by your college.
• College Approved, Verification Pending : Your application has been approved by the college and forwarded to BMTC for final verification.
• Approved-Payment Pending : Your application has been approved by BMTC, and now you can collect your student bus pass at your nearby Bangalore One center.

How To Collect BMTC Student Bus Pass SMART CARD :

Once your application has been approved by the College and BMTC, you will receive a message on your phone number. Then, visit your nearby Bangalore One center and collect your SMART CARD by paying the applicable fee.

You do not need to carry any documents while collecting the SMART CARD, the only thing you need is your APPLICATION NUMBER and the amount to pay for the bus pass fee.
